DID is both very very serious, and rare. It’s likely that you’ve never met a real person with DID. And if you did, it’s hard to tell, because of retards with fictive headmates or whatever saying they have DID and making everyone dismiss anyone who actually has DID.
People with DID don’t control it, or remember it mostly, it happens at random without warning, and sufferers /don’t have full fictional characters in their heads/. The personalities are random. Fuck, that movie “Identity” is a better representation of people with DID than fictive headmates are and that’s saying a lot because it’s a highly dramatized work of fiction that doesn’t represent it at all.
